Moon comes to Toronto

The Raptors have signed Albany Patroons’ forward Jamario Moon was signed to a two-year contract Tuesday (the amount hasn’t been made public yet). A CBA Defensive Player of the Year,  Moon could bring some more strength to the Raptors’ three point plays, and has clearly shown he has the defensive chops needed to help the Raps going into next season.
At 27 years old and six years of playing in the various leagues including the CBA, NBA Development League, American Basketball Association, World Basketball Association and the United States Basketball League Moon is no “rookie”.

The Raptors are also looking at Indiana Pacers forward Maceo Baston who is a free agent and could be signed today for $3.8 million. Lets hope Bryan Colangelo can pull that one together as well.

  1. I live in Albany and have seen moon play for 2 years now. I think he’ll be a great addition to the Raptors. He had the defensive skills and can score from anywhere on the floor.

  2. The Raptors need some good defense especially under the net and someone who can get the rebounds. The rebounds were a big problem last season with nights where they lost out on at least 6-8 points and the game as well. If Moon can help out in that department this season, we could see them in the finals again.
